Angela Zervos fiercely fights for her clients in the courtroom. She knows what insurance companies do when they think they can bully you out of fair compensation.
"When you go up against an insurance company, they've got so much money, they think they can push you around," she says. "Unless you can get in a courtroom where they don't control the outcome, they'll continue to pummel you."
A Brooklyn native who moved to Tampa Bay in 1985, Ms. Zervos received her law degree from Stetson University in 1996. She earned her stripes fast, handling more than 30 criminal trials as a public defender before shifting to personal injury law in 1998.
Before opening Zervos & Calta, PLLC in 2017, she settled cases and obtained jury verdicts totaling more than $80 million. Since 2002, she's won more than 90% of her cases against State Farm, Nationwide, GEICO, Farmers Insurance, Allstate, USAA, Liberty Mutual, and other insurance companies. Most victories involved jury verdicts exceeding the insurance company's policy limits.
