Lauren Calta has been a practicing attorney since 1992 and is licensed to practice in New York and Florida, as well as the Middle District of Florida. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University in 1988, and in 1991 graduated from Brooklyn Law School, where she earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Evidence.
Immediately following, she became a prosecutor for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, having litigated a total of 15 misdemeanor and felony trials, and arguing appellate issues before the New York Supreme Court. Since 1995, she has dedicated her practice exclusively to representing victims who have been injured or killed through the negligence or recklessness of others.
For the past 25 years, Ms. Calta has built her reputation by aggressively battling the insurance companies both in and out of the courtroom, obtaining millions of dollars in compensation for her clients through the years. She meets with every one of her clients personally, keeps her clients informed throughout, and is committed to making sure that all of her clients receive her personal attention.
Ms. Calta is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocate Forums, in recognition of her having obtained by settlement or verdict in excess of $2,000,000.00, and is an official member of Lawyers of Distinction, Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers, Clearwater Bar Association and Florida Justice Association.
